<p>APPLY NOW</p> <p>PROMOTIONAL POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT</p> <ul> <li>Open to Non-Probationary Employees Only* </li></ul> <p>JOB DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this position is to assist the Recorder of Deeds in the daily operations of the Recorders' Office and to act on behalf of the Recorder of Deeds in their absence. All work is performed under the direction of the Recorder of Deeds.</p> <ul> <li>Supervises 5 Records Services Clerks to ensure policies and procedures are met. </li><li>Supports and assists the Recorder of Deeds and other management team members daily to accomplish administrative objectives and responsibilities. </li><li>Resolves problems and researches any discrepancies in the daily balance sheet and prepares the monthly and annual financial report for the Recorder of Deeds review. </li><li>Retains daily records pertaining to recording and marriage license for future audits. </li><li>Reports all plats, surveys and returned marriage licenses monthly to the State of Missouri. </li><li>Issues, monitors, and maintains escrow accounts and the online subscription charge accounts for the Recorder of Deed's online research website. </li><li>Collaborates and seeks guidance from the Recorder of Deeds to achieve positive outcomes with online subscription holders and eRecording submitters if an issue arises. </li><li>Assist in the development of office policies and regulations. </li><li>Maintains knowledge of state statutes and monitors procedural changes. </li><li>Answers questions from personnel. Interprets statutes and department procedures to ensure the accuracy of indexing, ability to record documents, issuance of marriage licenses, etc. </li><li>Acts as the secondary point of contact for all Recorder Department staff. </li><li>Facilitates semi-monthly payroll; retains time sheets, leave requests and payroll submissions for future audits. </li><li>Assists with equipment, software, or computer problems; decides when to call for service as needed. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with studies in business, accounting, communications, public relations, government or other related field. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Three (3) years of experience of progressively responsible office management including significantly responsible financial and accounting duties. </li><li>Supervisory experience required. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, skills, and abilities</p> <ul> <li>Proficient accounting skills required. </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite </li><li>Employment is contingent on successfully passing a full criminal background check. </li></ul> <p>TO APPLY: All applications must be submitted using the APPLY NOW link above.
