<p>About this role:</p> <p>Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Retail Investment Research Analyst in Global Manager Research (GMR) as part of Wealth & Investment Management. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.</p> <p>In this role, you will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Performing initial and ongoing due diligence on third-party investment products (mutual funds, SMAs, exchange traded funds, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Asset class research coverage (equities), which includes maintaining a high-conviction list of products</p> </li><li> <p>Supporting field investment professionals by responding to their inquiries about the recommendations and/or selection methodology used on products under coverage</p> </li><li> <p>Drafting communications to the field. Examples of communications include changes in money manager ratings, manager updates and topical white papers.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducting onsite due diligence pursuant to GMR's evaluation criteria</p> </li><li> <p>Assisting in the management of key workflow initiatives</p> </li><li> <p>Assisting in the training of junior level analysts</p> </li><li> <p>Delivering presentations related to the activities of GMR to internal team members as well as occasionally to field investment professionals and their clients</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of Retail Investment Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience with mutual funds, separately managed accounts and exchange traded products</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years of advanced financial analytical experience with high attention to detail and accuracy</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years of overall investment experience</p> </li><li> <p>Experience performing qualitative and quantitative analysis, including statistical and performance analytics on investments</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in money manager research including writing investment research reports or commentary</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with Morningstar Direct, FactSet and Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation</p> </li><li> <p>A BS/BA degree or higher in business, finance, economics, accounting or engineering</p> </li></ul> <p>Job Expectations:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to travel up to 10% of the time</p> </li><li> <p>This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship</p> </li><li> <p>Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired.
