<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>We are seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will develop and draft communication content, support the implementation of communications strategies, and support the communication goals of large-scale research efforts. This role involves working with both traditional and digital media, using various digital communication tools, and managing multiple projects. The Communications Specialist will support the communications of the Office of Research Innovation, including the Grainger Institute for Engineering, the Office of Corporate Relations, and the Technology Entrepreneurship Office.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Develops and drafts communication content and assists in the execution of the communications strategy in support of unit communication goals.</p> <ul> <li>15% Monitors reach and effectiveness of communication campaigns, projects, and initiatives </li><li>15% Plans editorial content according to established goals and objects </li><li>20% Communicates with stakeholders to verify requests and identify editorial resources </li><li>10% Writes, edits, and publishes content for various communication projects and marketing platforms to align with strategic initiatives and established communication campaigns </li><li>20% Provides project management and execution of communications programs, initiatives, and tactical plans </li><li>10% Coordinates logistics and resources for outreach efforts and campaigns </li><li>10% Develops, plans, and executes portions of events, under general supervision, to advance public relation strategies and initiatives </li></ul> <p>Institutional Statement on Diversity:</p> <p>Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.</p> <p>The anticipated hybrid work schedule will be up to two days remote, with three days onsite after an initial training period.</p> <p>Appointment Type, Duration:</p> <p>Ongoing/Renewable</p> <p>Salary:</p> <p>Minimum $55,000 ANNUAL (12 months)</p> <p>Depending on Qualifications</p> <p>Employees in this position can expect to receive benefits such as generous vacation, holidays, and paid time off; competitive insurances and savings accounts; retirement benefits.
