<p>POSITION TITLE: Credit Recovery Teacher - HighSchool</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold proper certification through the Arkansas Department of Education</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Principal and/or Other Supervisor</p> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 days with benefits provided according to Siloam Springs School Board policies</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Technical skills - Google Suite, Excel, Word, other online student learning platforms </li><li>Highly motivated with strong organizational skills; able to coordinate multiple tasks at one time </li><li>Coordinate scheduling of students in multiple learning platforms who are scheduled in original credit and credit recovery classes </li><li>Maintain attendance and performance records for students assigned to Credit Recovery </li><li>Assist students in use of school-based technology </li><li>Help students set, reflect on, and progress toward achievement of goals for learning </li><li>Manage student behavior to create a safe and productive learning environment </li><li>Communicate regularly student progress and behavior with parents/guardians </li><li>Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise in online learning platform(s) </li><li>Serve expelled students by enrolling them in appropriate online classes, attending Google Meets with students, communicating with both students and parents and setting up meetings as needed, tracking academic progress, attendance, and behavior, and working in partnership with administration who oversee expelled students </li></ul> <p>OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Abide by state statutes, school board policies, and regulations </li><li>Support and promote the district's mission, vision, and values </li><li>Attend meetings and perform duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors </li><li>Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities </li><li>Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation </li><li>Serve on committees as assigned </li><li>Remain current on instructional practices in education </li><li>Participate in professional development training as initiated by the district </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul>
