<p>Eastern Judicial Circuit - Assistant Public Defender III</p> <p>The Eastern Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Office is seeking to hire an Assistant Public Defender III in Chatham County. The primary duties include representing indigent clients with criminal case(s) in Superior Court. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties and responsibilities for the position. The Assistant Public Defender will be responsible for preparing and presenting cases for trial and entering pleas, conducting legal research, preparing and presenting complex documents, pleading compilation, orders, etc. The candidate must demonstrate a mastery of litigation and possess extensive jury trial experience.
