<p>Hood Distribution, established in 1899, is a wholesale distributor of hardwood lumber & plywood as well as related specialty products. We currently have twenty-four locations, providing distribution into the eastern US as well as the Caribbean markets. Our primary customers turn our products into something special. We are looking for a Warehouse Associate/ Cabinet Assembler to join our growing team at our Cabinet Shop location, Carnegie, PA.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work with minimal supervision </li><li>Load and unload trailers with forklift </li><li>Additional duties may be assigned as needed. </li><li>This role entails 60% of the candidate's time to be spent in the warehouse </li><li>40% of the candidate's time will be spent building, and assembling Cabinets </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Must have good math skills and read a tape measure </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. </li><li>Forklift experience </li><li>1 year of warehouse operations experience (Preferred) </li><li>1 year of warehouse distribution experience (Preferred) </li><li>1 year of cabinet assembly or similar woodworking work (Preferred) </li><li>Knowledge of lumber and/or plywood is preferred </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Great interpersonal skills - a team player </li><li>Forklift Certification </li><li>Great oral and written communication skills </li><li>Good attention to detail </li><li>Must be able to adapt to change </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Hood Industries offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package including medical, employee assistance program, dental, vision, cancer, life, flexible spending account, 401k, and LTD, available first of the month following completion of one month of continuous full-time employment.</p> <p>Hood Industries requires that applicants consent to a background check and a drug screen to continue in the selection process.
