<p>This is a Time-Limited position estimated 12 to 16 months.</p> <p>What will you do?</p> <p>Warehouse Operations</p> <ul> <li>Supervise warehouse operations at off-site location ensuring that all safety guidelines are met. </li><li>Warehouse operation of unloading all inbound, and loading all out bound shipments. </li><li>Review daily barrel shipment schedule with Warehouse Manager and Administrative Support personnel to establish plan for each day. </li><li>Transact shipments in SAP software, distribute required documentation to drivers, customers, and customer service. </li><li>Maintain documentation of barrel receipts for all barrels as required by the TTB. </li><li>Coordinate workforce for 3rd party barrel deliveries. </li><li>Oversee auditing functions of the department. </li><li>Verify the proper paperwork is distributed to the customer. </li></ul> <p>Warehouse Security, Safety & Fire Management</p> <ul> <li>Oversee security protection at off-site warehouse to keep employees and company property safe and secure. This includes; Inspect vehicles, personnel, and equipment entering and leaving the warehouse gates, Check in and log all visitors, contractors, etc., and Lock/unlock areas of the warehouse as needed. </li><li>Assist in the weekly inspections of the safety showers and the monthly inspections of the first aid kits and fire extinguishers to keep employees, contractors and visitors safe at the off-site warehouses. </li><li>Oversee daily fork truck and spotter truck inspection forms ensuring completion and submit forms to the Safety Department. </li><li>Perform daily rounds throughout the off-site warehouses and boundary lines ensuring the security of the employees and facility. </li><li>Work closely with the Safety department to ensure safety policies are enforced. </li><li>Serve as Incident Commander in the event of a safety incident. Provide initial first aid to accident victims. Fill out incident reports when needed. </li></ul> <p>Maintenance & Quality Support</p> <ul> <li>Facility Maintenance tasks include; Submit and help prioritize maintenance repair for the various equipment and structures at the location, Perform basic maintenance & sanitation functions including grounds keeping (lawn care), and coordinate all facility needs, repairs, inspections, etc. ensuring optimum facility standards. </li><li>Support to Quality Department through active participation in BRC functions and adherence by all to the BRC program, Follow all the documentation/procedural guidelines set forth by the BRC programs, Monitor and submit off-site department sanitation sheets and </li><li>Obtain a large quantity of Warehouse samples from barrels for all sales samples, customer requests, and barrel shipments. </li></ul> <p>Administrative & Community Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Create and maintain departmental procedures associated with the off-site property. Assist with the conversion of SOP documentation into correct SOP format.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as MGP representative in the local community; such as local Chamber of Commerce.</p> </li><li> <p>On-site contact for outside service contractors for pest control, deliveries, equipment and fire system repairs.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as back up for other Warehouse Supervisors as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as site manager for construction of additional warehouses/buildings after start of operation at the site.</p> </li></ul> <p>Employee Supervision</p> <ul> <li>Supervise work of subordinates to ensure completed, effective training and to ensure effectiveness of work performance for assigned employees. </li><li>Provide assistance to the Warehouse Manager to track department training of operators. </li><li>Conduct employee coaching conversations and or discipline meetings in accordance to MGP standards </li><li>Track hours of work for payroll. Assist with payroll as needed. </li><li>Collaborate with departmental manager and HR as necessary. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>What do you need to bring to the table?</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li><li>2 years management/supervision experience </li><li>Two years of working in the food and beverage industry </li><li>Requires strong multi-tasking and presentation skills </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Strong personal computer skills </li><li>Fork Truck license or pass required testing to obtain a fork truck license. </li><li>SAP for Plant Maintenance System </li><li>First Aid, CPR and AED training </li><li>Food Safety and GMP knowledge </li><li>Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) training </li></ul> <p>Who are we?</p> <p>MGP Ingredients is a leading supplier of premium distilled spirits and food ingredient solutions.
