This role requires technical welding expertise, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality, durable structures.</p> <p>Job Title: Swing Shift Welder</p> <p>Job ID: 73931</p> <p>Pay Rate: $21-$28 base pay +$3 shift differential</p> <p>Job Location: West Jordan</p> <p>Shift: M-Th, 4pm-2:30am</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform welding operations on structural steel using various welding methods (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) according to project specifications and industry standards. </li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings to ensure proper alignment, dimensions, and fit of materials. </li><li>Set up welding equipment, including adjustment of voltage, amperage, and other settings to ensure high-quality welds. </li><li>Inspect and test welds to verify quality, accuracy, and adherence to safety and industry standards. </li><li>Operate cutting and shaping equipment such as grinders, saws, and torches for preparation and finishing. </li><li>Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime. </li><li>Follow all safety protocols, including proper PPE usage, and ensure a safe working environment. </li><li>Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely project completion and address any technical challenges. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification is highly preferred. </li><li>Proven experience as a structural welder, preferably in construction or manufacturing. </li><li>Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) and familiarity with a range of metals. </li><li>Strong understanding of welding symbols, blueprints, and technical specifications. </li><li>Skilled in using hand and power tools for metal fabrication and finishing. </li><li>Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety. </li><li>Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in various positions. </li></ul>
