<p>Role: Assistant Director, Permanent Supportive Housing</p> <p>Reports To: Director, Permanent Supportive Housing</p> <p>Status: Full Time, Exempt (Salary), Management Role</p> <p>Location: The Nest 222 South Hill St., Los Angeles, CA 90012</p> <p>Schedule: Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.</p> <p>Duration: July 2025-December 2025</p> <p>Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement Planning (403b), Employee Assistant Program (EAP), etc.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>The Assistant Director of Housing, DHS will support the Program Director of DHS Housing, Downtown in overseeing the site, employees, and clients.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ol> <li> <p>Develop effective, trusting relationships with clients using a client-centered approach that includes motivational interviewing and harm reduction</p> </li><li> <p>Provide Clinical consultation to staff working with difficult clinical situations, and suggest appropriate clinical interventions.</p> </li><li> <p>Daily coordination and oversight of program operations and program activities, including supervision of Program Managers.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide administrative supervision to staff working towards licensure.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with Brilliant Corners, HACLA and HACoLA to address policy or client related advocacy issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist Program Management staff in recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of direct service staff</p> </li><li> <p>In partnership with Programs Director of Housing, DHS Downtown, provide leadership and supervision to housing department Program Managers.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that data is being entered into the DHS database (CHAMP) in a timely manner</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor that staff are providing appropriate level of service and that progress notes are being completed in a timely manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Organize documentation for housing applications (HACoLA, HACLA and Brilliant Corners)</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure intake and psychosocial assessment are completed for all referrals within timeline listed in DHS ICSM work order</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor that goal plans are being updated quarterly</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure data entry accuracy for reporting requirements' outcomes</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee chart accuracy for audit purposes</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in case conference, staff meetings, trainings and retreats</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain client confidentiality at all times and ensure to follow agency, state and HIPAA laws</p> </li><li> <p>Provide crisis intervention for clients when necessary and follow up on grievances</p> </li><li> <p>Attend Quality Assurance meetings</p> </li><li> <p>Provide death and dying debriefing with staff when directed</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure adherence to policies and procedures</p> </li></ol> <p>Qualifications</p> <ol> <li> <p>Licensed Mental Health Provider holding an MSW, or equivalent degree (2 years post License preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Extensive experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders</p> </li><li> <p>At least 2 years of management/supervisory experience preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Able to work in a high tolerance Harm Reduction model with Members who have multiple barriers</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated knowledge of issues faced by population served</p> </li><li> <p>Extensive knowledge of local and federal government benefits and entitlements</p> </li></ol> <p>Position: Assistant Director Housing, DHS Downtown</p> <p>Department: Housing</p> <ol start="7"> <li> <p>Knowledge of other social service providers</p> </li><li> <p>Detail oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal, computer, and cross-cultural communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Computer literate; able to effectively use computerized database for client file management, with basic skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel programs</p> </li><li> <p>Skilled in data collection</p> </li><li> <p>Valid CA Driver's license, reliable car, auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record</p> </li><li> <p>Academic background in Social Work or Psychology strongly preferred</p> </li></ol> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <ol> <li> <p>Combination of field and office environment</p> </li><li> <p>Regularly required to sit, stand, bend;
