<p>V&S Galvanizing is a leading provider of hot-dip galvanizing services with facilities across the United States. As part of Hill & Smith PLC, a global leader in infrastructure and engineered solutions, we serve a broad range of industries including construction, transportation, utilities, and manufacturing. We are committed to quality, safety, and building long-term partnerships with our clients.</p> <p>V&S Galvanizing operates over 9 galvanizing plants in the U.S., featuring exceptional service to small fabricators as well as companies known worldwide.</p> <p>We are searching for a dynamic individual for the Sales Director role, based out of the V&S Corporate Office location in Columbus, Ohio.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>The Sales Director is responsible for leading strategic sales initiatives to grow market share and revenue across multiple V&S Galvanizing locations. This role will focus on developing new business, strengthening key customer relationships, and aligning sales strategies with broader company objectives. The ideal candidate will bring strong B2B sales experience, preferably in industrial or infrastructure sectors, and possess a track record of driving results in a multi-site organization. This position reports directly to the President/CEO and has a potential career path to a Vice President role within the company.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute corporate sales strategies to increase revenue and customer base across assigned territories. </li><li>Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including national accounts and long term contracts. </li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, engineers, procurement managers, and business partners. </li><li>Work closely with plant managers and operational teams to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded. </li><li>Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer data to adjust strategies accordingly. </li><li>Prepare and present sales forecasts, performance reports, and pipeline updates to senior leadership. </li><li>Represent V&S Galvanizing at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings. </li><li>Ensure pricing strategies and service offerings align with company goals and profitability targets. </li><li>Collaborate with marketing to develop sales materials, campaigns, and promotional strategies. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. </li><li>Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in B2B sales; experience in galvanizing, steel, construction, or manufacturing industries is highly preferred. </li><li>Proven success managing corporate or national accounts. </li><li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. </li><li>Ability to travel regionally or nationally as required (approx. 30-50%). </li><li>Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and data-driven sales reporting. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Attributes</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of hot-dip galvanizing processes and industry standards (ASTM A123, etc.). </li><li>Existing network of industry contacts in infrastructure or industrial markets. </li><li>Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute complex sales initiatives. </li><li>Self-motivated, results-driven, and customer-focused. </li></ul> <p>Compensation</p> <p>A compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that includes a base salary plus profit incentive bonus, health, dental, vision, life & disability products, FSA options, 401k program with company match as well as a company vehicle and expense reimbursement.</p>
