<p>The Quality Group is responsible for the company's quality management system. As a member of the Quality Group this individual is responsible for the inspection and testing of products manufactured or purchased by Wilcox for the end user.</p> <p>Roles & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Enforce the Quality Management Systems. </li><li>Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products. </li><li>Inspects materials, parts and products at different stages of production. </li><li>Must be able to read blueprints and follow directions. </li><li>Understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GT&D). </li><li>Have a working knowledge of measuring instruments such as: Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Micro-Hite, Optical Comparator, Hardness Tester, etc. </li><li>Help maintain and calibrate measuring and test equipment. </li><li>Apply statistical process control. </li><li>Handle nonconforming products. </li><li>Collection and retention of Quality Records. </li><li>Communicate with internal parties on matters relating to the Quality System and ISO 9000 certification. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications & Requirements</p> <p>Education & Experience:</p> <ul> <li>2-5 years' experience in a high paced quality role preferred, manufacturing experience a plus. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read and understand technical specifications and engineering drawings. </li><li>Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GT&D). </li><li>Working knowledge of measuring instruments. </li><li>Experience with PC-DMIS (CMM) a plus. </li><li>Proficient in data collection, analysis. </li><li>Computer skills with MS Word, Excel. </li><li>Experience with ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems. </li><li>Wilcox is a U.S. government defense contractor, and this position requires access to export-controlled technology.
