<p>Job Summary</p> <p>This role will support the U. S. Department of Education Postsecondary Student Success Grant objectives in alignment with the college's mission, vision, and strategic goals. Under general supervision from the director and with independent judgment, this individual will be responsible for supporting LaunchPad: Social Sciences faculty, staff, and students through extensive collaboration with developing, creating and leading LaunchPad: Social Sciences Welcome. Creating student programming with an overview of their field of study standards and academic and professional expectations while creating an environment that enhances the growth, development, and empowerment of new students.</p> <p>Essential Duties</p> <p>Connect, plan, develop, and execute LaunchPad:Social Science Welcome for each participating school/program in collaboration with LaunchPad faculty, and internal and external stakeholders.</p> <p>Creating intentional opportunities that promote belonging, while establishing collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to promote University partner opportunities and experiences for LaunchPad: Social Sciences students.</p> <p>Advocate for student success by proactively connecting students to LaunchPad: Social Sciences. Welcome, transfer processes, and more. Offering solutions and support to help students navigate these processes.</p> <p>Maintains an electronic database, enters and retrieves information, writes queries to produce reports.</p> <p>Other duties as assigned to help advance the vision, mission, and goals of the PSSG in alignment with TCC.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's degree education, Counseling, Higher Education Administration, Social Sciences or related field. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.</p> <p>Three years experience in coordinating events, making presentations, and working with all student populations, along with faculty and staff across all levels in a higher education setting.</p> <p>Three years strong knowledge of higher education systems, including admissions, orientation,and transfer requirements.</p> <p>One year excellent organizational and communication skills.</p> <p>Ability to communicate information and ideas, so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.</p> <p>Ability to constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, and phone.</p> <p>Ability to work exposed to outdoor weather conditions occasionally.</p> <p>Ability to transport items weighing up to 20 pounds across offices for various needs.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Master's degree in education, Counseling, Higher Education Administration, Social Sciences or related field. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.</p> <p>One year experience with student-centered approach.</p>
