<p>Position: Family Treatment Court Coordinator (part-time)</p> <p>Location: Atlantic, IA </p> <p>The starting pay for new State employees is expected to be at the base of the pay range. The starting pay for this position is $23.31/hour. Adjustments may be made if the successful applicant has relevant experience. </p> <p>This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week and is eligible for State of Iowa benefits at part-time rates. Family Treatment Court is held the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. </p> <p>DEFINITION:</p> <p>Family Treatment Court responsibilities are individually designed to meet the expectations of the program. Positions are under the supervision of Iowa Children's Justice in State Court Administration. Incumbents serve as an assistant specializing in program or project implementation, research, policy or information systems. This position would be responsible for coordinator of the Family Treatment Courts, in Cass County of Iowa.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED</p> <p>Supports and leads staff and contract personnel in the establishment of collaborative teams in the Family Treatment Court, tracking of case data, monitoring budget, providing leadership to participants in the Family Treatment Court, maintaining cooperative working relationships with collaborative partners, and providing information about the Family Treatment Court to the Program Manager, members of the Judicial Branch and other interested parties.</p> <p>Develop case schedule and prepare materials for the Family Treatment Court. The Site Coordinator will also be responsible for facilitating the case staffing held prior to Family Treatment Court.</p> <p>Assist the judge with the operation of the Family Treatment Court.</p> <p>Gather and enter the data and information necessary for the evaluation of the Family Treatment Court.</p> <p>Participates with the Program Manager in periodic review and evaluation of the progress of the Family Treatment Court. Modifies program plan as dictated by emerging needs in the community and state or federal requirements.</p> <p>Maintains work hours as dictated by the needs of the Family Treatment Court including availability for evening meetings or activities.</p> <p>Maintains records as required by state and federal regulations.</p> <p>Carries out assigned duties as required to support the Family Treatment Court and as directed by the Program Manager.</p> <p>Assist in the implementation of the Iowa Family Treatment Court Standards which were approved by the Supreme Court in 2022. The Family Treatment Court Coordinator will meet periodically with the Family Treatment court team to review progress in the implementation of the standards.</p> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</p> <p>Knowledge of the Iowa court system and the child welfare system.</p> <ul> <li>Have strong organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to use personal computers and software for word processing, database input, statistical calculations and spreadsheets. </li><li>Ability to prioritize work, be flexible to increased workloads and to work under pressure and against deadlines. </li><li>Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. Also demonstrate the ability to collect valid, accurate and reliable reports. </li><li>Has access to reliable transportation. </li></ul> <p>This is a part time non-merit position with the Iowa Judicial Branch. Candidates must follow the instructions in the "To Apply" section. </p> <p>Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.</p> <ul> <li>Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major coursework in social sciences preferred or </li><li>Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in social sciences and 2 years of experience or </li><li>At least 3 years of direct experience in social sciences or coordinating special projects. </li><li>Experience or knowledge of working with individuals with substance use disorders also preferred. Experience in facilitating and coordinating groups or meetings are desirable. </li><li>Completion of the IJB LinkedIn Learning Leadership and Professional Development Certificate will be equivalent to 6 months of education when looking at a combination of education and experience under the minimum qualifications for a supervisory-level position. </li></ul>
