<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Elementary School Teaching/Elementary Classroom</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>8/23/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Allendale Elementary School</p> <p>District:</p> <p>&nbsp Melvindale Northern Allen Park Public Schools&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Position: Elementary Teacher- 3rd grade</p> <p>Location: Allendale Elementary</p> <p>Roles and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at times designated</p> </li><li> <p>Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of all students based on the District's educational philosophy, goals, objectives and individual student plan.</p> </li><li> <p>Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation.</p> </li><li> <p>Establish and maintain standards of appropriate student behavior.</p> </li><li> <p>Employ a variety of instructional strategies and media which meet the needs and capabilities of the students.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate student performance on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Refer students with special needs to the appropriate District specialist and participate on committees related to individual student planning.</p> </li><li> <p>Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, self, equipment, materials, and facilities in order to provide an ongoing, safe classroom environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential records as required by law, District policy, and administrative regulation.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist as directed in the daily operations of the school.</p> </li><li> <p>Be available to students and parents for education related purposes outside the instructional day when needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Plan and supervise duties for teacher aides and volunteers.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain and improve competence through participation in professional training</p> </li><li> <p>Attend all staff meetings and serve on committees as requested.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform all other duties as deemed necessary by the Superintendent or designee.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Education Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college institution.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid Michigan teaching certificate or such other credentials as may be required by the Melvindale-Northern Allen Park Public School District for this position</p> </li></ul> <p>Working Schedule and Rate of Pay:</p> <p>40 week per year position (teacher work calendar)</p> <p>Salary according to master contract</p>
