<p>The Receptionist-Registration will perform a variety of data entry and patient flow management functions for outpatient departments in the facility. It is the responsibility of the registration representative- Check in to accurately collect patient demographic information, and utilize patient tracking tool to manage workflow. Under the direction of the patient access manager, he/she is responsible to follow all registration and admitting policies and procedures. Performs a variety of admitting/administrative tasks to accurately document the admission of patients of all ages to the Hospital. Acts as a resource in providing all customers with the highest level of service. Enhances the hospital experience for patients, families and visitors by providing appropriate hospitality and concierge services.</p> <p>Acts as the initial greeter for all patients/visitors entering the facility. Completes all registrations in a professional, accurate and customer-oriented timely manner. Obtains information from patient health insurance or managed care identification card. Responsible for distributing to patients or their representative any required handouts. Maintains forms in all printers at all times, which may require lifting or carrying cases of forms. Must have knowledge of all software and hardware computerized equipment.Assist in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization. May be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.</p>
