<p>Job Title Academic Program Assistant (Federal Work Study) Job Description</p> <p>This position will be located primarily on the OCH campus in Monroe, supporting Faculty and academic program areas. Should be flexible to attend off-campus events at external venues such as local high schools, middle schools, and other community events.</p> <p>Essential Duties Summary</p> <p>This position will be responsible for the distribution of any marketing and communications for the promotion of all programs. Mailing recruitment materials to potential students, previous students, and employers. Assist with program clubs. Work with faculty to plan campus-wide programs, activities, and events. Work events as assigned, including, but not limited to high school/middle school career and college day events, SPCC foundation events, and Dept events. Assist with Advisory Board meetings for department programs. Provide clerical services such as copies, print, correlate, and distribute mail. Manage inventory of marketing materials, and request reprints of materials as needed.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as leadership qualities.</p> <p>Reliable, flexible, and punctual.</p> <p>Strong written and oral communication skills.</p> <p>Demonstrated record of leadership and maturity.</p> <p>Capacity for discretion, diplomacy, and confidentiality.</p> <p>Ability to work independently.</p> <p>Ability to facilitate group discussions and present to small and large groups of people within a diverse population.</p> <p>Excellent computer skills including experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Mentimeter.</p> <p>Available to work occasional evenings and weekends.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands Special Conditions Eligibility Summary Eeo Statement Summary</p> <p>South Piedmont Community College provides equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees based on job related criteria without reference to race, color, national origin, religion, gender, age, disability, genetic information, or any other legally protected classification.
