<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Database Administrator (Db2 LUW) in Smithfield, RI.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for distributed databases such as CockroachDB, Neo4j, Azure SQL MI, and Azure MySQL </li><li>Build, configure, and manage cloud database infrastructure in AWS using tools like CloudFormation, AWS CLI, and IAM </li><li>Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems using tools such as DataDog and AWS CloudWatch </li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to gather technical requirements for data migration and integration projects </li><li>Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for large-scale production databases </li><li>Develop and maintain automation scripts using shell scripting and Python </li><li>Participate in incident, change, and problem management processes </li><li>Support on-call rotations and weekend maintenance activities as needed </li><li>Create and maintain technical documentation for database standards, procedures, and configurations </li><li>Foster strong working relationships with business and technology partners* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field </li><li>10+ years of experience in IT database administration with progressive technical leadership </li><li>In-depth knowledge of cloud services (AWS preferred), including EC2, S3, EBS, IAM, and CLI tools </li><li>Strong experience in production support, capacity planning, and performance tuning </li><li>Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell and Python </li><li>Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices </li><li>Excellent communication and organizational skills </li></ul>
