<p>Job Title: IT - Database Administrator II</p> <p>Location: Remote / Raleigh, NC</p> <p>Contract</p> <p>Must be flexible for on-call, overnight, and weekend shifts as needed.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator with expertise in Oracle RDBMS, Oracle eBusiness Suite, and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra). The candidate will also support middle-tier technologies such as web/app servers, containers, messaging platforms, and cloud infrastructure. This role requires a mix of hands-on technical skills, production support experience, and strong troubleshooting capabilities.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Database Administration:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Install, upgrade, patch, and remediate vulnerabilities in Oracle RDBMS on Linux systems</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain and support Oracle eBusiness Suite applications</p> </li><li> <p>Manage NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, including patching, design, and query optimization</p> </li><li> <p>Write and troubleshoot complex queries on both Linux and Windows systems</p> </li></ul> <p>Middle-Tier Support:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Support various middleware platforms and tools including:</p> </li><li> <p>Apache Tomcat, WebSphere, WildFly, Oracle Fusion Middleware</p> </li><li> <p>Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, Rancher</p> </li><li> <p>IBM MQ, Kafka, Zookeeper</p> </li><li> <p>GCP, Azure</p> </li><li> <p>Monitoring: AppDynamics, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Splunk</p> </li><li> <p>Scripting: Ansible, PowerShell, Shell scripting, Jython</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Skills & Experience:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum 4+ years of production support DBA experience</p> </li><li> <p>Expertise with Oracle 19c, RMAN, OEM, RAC (multi-node)</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of PostgreSQL is a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in UNIX/Linux and Windows environments</p> </li><li> <p>Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience:</p> <ul> <li>8-12 years of relevant experience with a degree in a related field. If no related degree, 12-16 years of applicable work experience required </li></ul>
