<p>GCESC Learning Center Intervention Specialist</p> <p>Reports to: Director of Learning Center Program</p> <p>Salary Range: $43,000 - $70,000 Dependent on experience and education</p> <p>Excellent Benefits Package Consisting of: State Teachers Retirement System, paid sick/personal leave, tax-sheltered retirement contributions, Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and Employee Assistance Program.</p> <p>Employment Status: Full-Time, 183 days</p> <p>FLSA Status: Exempt</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of ODE's Social Emotional Learning Standards </li><li>Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Teaching license: Mild/Moderate -Intervention Specialist OR Education of handicapped in areas of learning disabilities/behavior disorders (LD/BD) or emotionally-disturbed/severe behavior handicapped (ED/SBH). </li><li>Adheres to Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators </li><li>Trained in CPI/Non-Violent Crisis Prevention-- preferred. (will provide training if needed) </li><li>Experience in IEP writing and Data Collection </li><li>Must be proficient at conducting FBAs and writing BIPs. </li><li>Experience working with Emotionally Disturbed/Behaviorally Challenged Students </li><li>Knowledge of Ohio Academic Content Standards and ability to write lesson plans that coordinate with them and that are differentiated to meet the needs of all students on caseload. </li><li>Ability to work with a team of professionals to meet the needs of every student. </li><li>Must have excellent attendance record. </li><li>Excellent communication skills - verbal/written </li><li>Prefer to have passing test score on Foundations of Reading (OAE 090) </li></ul> <p>General Description: Constructs and implements Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Plans for ED & other students in Learning Center program; conducts evaluations required to document student progress toward goals & objectives; participates in parent conferences to share information pertaining to the IEP & student progress.</p> <p>Abilities Required:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates professionalism and maintains a positive work attitude. </li><li>Effectively uses verbal, nonverbal, writing, and listening skills. </li><li>Completes paperwork accurately. </li><li>Verifies and correctly enters data. </li><li>Organizes tasks and manages time effectively. </li><li>Maintains an acceptable attendance record and is punctual. </li><li>Employee shall remain free from any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the center. </li><li>Pass BCI/FBI background checks. </li></ul> <p>Questions about this position?
