<p>Position Summary Identify appropriate supplier, determine schedules, create service order documentation, communicate priorities, obtain supplier commitment and coordinate prompt and effective communication between the suppliers and the company. Responsibilities</p> <p>Review customer deliver requirements, determine the specific sourcing plan, communicate priorities an obtain the required commitment from supplier and ensure effective supplier performance. Utilize preferred suppliers capable of meeting requirements, based on evaluation of quotes and capability to meet the quality, delivery and total cost requirements. Issue subcontract purchase orders ensuring complete, accurate and timely documentation of purchase transaction. Respond to emergency requirements of customers, determine delivery timing and ensure supplier performance meets our needs. Ensure that the supplier receives accurate information regarding piece counts, shipping directions and Lot Number information for proper tracking. Work with suppliers to resolve performance issues. Promote supplier goodwill and sound long-term relations. Make trucking and other transportation arrangements for product to and from our suppliers to ensure timely delivery while utilizing preferred carriers and minimizing total cost. Communicate timely and effectively with outside suppliers and internal (AGT) departments.</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <p>HSD/GED or equivalent experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize to meet competing deadlines Excellent computer and data entry skills. Prior scheduling and purchasing experience. Fastener Industry is a plus. 2-3 years in a manufacturing environment. Fastener or Metal Industry a plus.</p>
