<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Elementary School Teaching/Math Peer Coach</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>5/9/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>District Wide</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>2025-2026 SY</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>5/19/2025 or Until Filled</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>POSITION: District Math Coach (Elementary)</p> <p>WORK YEAR: 184 days (teachers contract)</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendents</p> <p>COORDINATES WITH: Teachers, Specialists, and other educators</p> <p>SALARY: $44,200-$93,938 Teacher Bargaining Unit salary and benefits - Contractual</p> <p>OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>The mathematics coach increases teachers' understanding of the mathematics curriculum and increases instructional knowledge and skills of teachers in the area of mathematics through a variety of reflective and job-embedded professional development activities. The mathematics coach supports the district goal of increasing the academic performance of all students in mathematics.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Create a math environment conducive to effective instruction. </li><li>Work with district administration and principals to determine math needs in order to improve students' skills across mathematical domains. </li><li>Evaluate math needs and collaborate with teachers and administrators to interpret assessment results. Use assessment data to improve instruction. </li><li>Coach teachers in effective instructional strategies. </li><li>Assist in the coordination and delivery of district-wide professional development, including New Teacher Orientation. </li><li>Continue professional growth and strengthen professional teaching knowledge, skills, and strategies through an on-going program of workshops, seminars, conferences, and job-embedded activities for self and teaching staff. </li><li>Assumes other special activities and/or responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Meets New Hampshire certification requirements for elementary and/or middle school teaching </li><li>Masters degree in reading, math, or related field preferred </li><li>Minimum of three years of successful K - 12 classroom teaching experience </li><li>Successful experience in facilitating adult learners </li><li>Demonstrated pursuit of continuous learning </li><li>Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required. </li></ul> <p>APPLICATION PROCEDURE:</p> <p>Interested applicants should apply online at www.nashua.edu and include your cover letter, resume, transcripts, certification and three letters of recomendation.</p> <p>This notice should not be construed to imply that these requirements are the exclusive standards of the position or that this is the exclusive list of job functions associated with this position.</p> <p>ESOL Certification Preferred.</p> <p>The Nashua Board of Education reaffirms its position of compliance with applicable State and Federal laws of nondiscrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, marital status, familial status, genetic information and age in admission to, access to, treatment in or employment in the services, programs and activities of the Nashua School District.</p>
