<p>Job Description</p> <p>The Digital Designer role involves crafting visually appealing, user-friendly website layouts for all TKG brands and the corporate site, ensuring intuitive navigation and responsive design optimized for revenue generation. Success in this position means delivering engaging, brand-aligned designs that enhance user experience and drive business goals, validated through testing and feedback-driven adjustments. The designer collaborates closely with marketing, content creators, and front-end developers to maintain cohesive visual standards and functionality across all platforms. This role is critical to the organization, strengthening brand identity and customer engagement through high-quality digital experiences.</p> <p>This position reports to the Director of Digital & eCommerce and is based out of our Anoka, MN office.</p> <p>As the Digital Designer, you will have an opportunity to:</p> <ul> <li>Creating visually appealing and user-friendly website layouts, including page structure, navigation, and overall visual style for our five brands, as well as our corporate site. </li><li>Design and ensure our websites are intuitive and easy to navigate, taking into account user behavior and information architecture. </li><li>Understanding how to source and use best practices and shopper behavior to create websites that look and function across all various devices and screen sizes and are optimized to drive revenue. </li><li>Work closely with the marketing team and content creators to select color palettes, typography, imagery and other visual elements and engaging design the aligns with brand standards. </li><li>Test website functionality and user experience with help of front end developer and make any necessary adjustments based on feedback. </li><li>Self-starter, problem solver, with a sharp eye for details and ability to work at a fast pace </li></ul> <p>You have:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Digital Design with a Web Design Emphasis or Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design or Interaction Design or Bachelor of Science in Web Design & Development. </li><li>3-5 years of professional digital design and/or graphic design experience. </li><li>Proficiency in Design Software: Strong skills in design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma (preferred), or Sketch. </li><li>Understanding of Design Principles: Knowledge of color theory, typography, layout, and other design principles. </li><li>Knowledge of HTML and CSS: Basic understanding of HTML and CSS for implementing designs and making small adjustments. </li><li>UX/UI Principles: Familiarity with user experience and user interface design principles. </li><li>Data & Content Management Systems (CMS): Experience with content management platforms. Salsify & Acquia preferred. </li><li>SEO Knowledge: Understanding of basic SEO principles to optimize website content and structure. </li><li>Communication and Collaboration Skills: Ability to communicate design ideas effectively and collaborate with various teams. </li><li>Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot website issues and find creative solutions. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <p>Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives.
