<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Elementary School Teaching/Special Education Teacher</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>12/11/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Glenview Avenue School</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Haddon Heights School District</p> <p>Haddon Heights, NJ</p> <p>Full-Time Teacher of Special Education</p> <p>Upper Elementary (Reassignment as Needed)</p> <p>Full-time with medical benefits</p> <p>Salary Range $56,000 to $63,000 prorated</p> <p>MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Employs knowledge of child development/or adolescent psychology to motivate students toward mastery of designated subject matter. </li><li>Plans a program of study based on the state standards that meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students. </li><li>Maintains a classroom environment that encourages learning and is appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. </li><li>Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives. </li><li>Employs instructional methods and materials as provided by the district that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives. </li><li>Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required. </li><li>Seeks the assistance of district specialists when students appear to have intellectual, social, and/or emotional needs. </li><li>Confers with colleagues, students, and/or families as needed. </li><li>Develops reasonable classroom expectations and procedures and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner. </li><li>Assists in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and board policy. </li><li>Assists in curriculum development and in the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials. </li><li>Provides supervision/instruction for curricular and extracurricular activities that are school sponsored. </li><li>Supervises behavior in the hallways, lunchroom, and on school grounds for the safety and well-being of students, staff, and visitors. </li><li>Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required. </li><li>Remains abreast of current developments, new trends, and contemporary interpretations of subject matter content in assigned area(s). </li><li>Performs other duties which may be within the scope of their employment and certifications as may be assigned by the superintendent or designee. </li></ul> <p>Required:</p> <p>NJ Endorsement for Teachers of Students with Disabilities and a Co-Certification or Teacher of the Handicapped</p> <p>Please submit an application, letter of interest, resume, and copy of certification through the Haddon Heights School District Employment website.</p> <p>Position will remain open until filled.</p> <p>Please select the link below to apply:</p> <p>Haddon Heights School District - Employment</p> <p>AA/EOE</p>
