The core works involves a wide variety of data management challenges of complex data sets, including genomic scale next-generation sequencing data and Data processing or curation. Our projects involve interrogation of the genome, transcriptome and epigenome data utilizing machine learning analysis tools and data analysis pipelines.</p> <p>The Bioinformation will be developing and supporting the complex bioinformatics infrastructure needed for the wide range of data collection, transformation of data, and analysis requirements that will integrate across a wide range of skills and techniques. The Bioinformation is required to design, create, support tools and software analysis pipelines including secure dissemination of information generated.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>MS in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or biological engineering; Applicants will have understanding programming with agile development methods</p> <p>SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES</p> <ul> <li>Ability to apply statistical and machine learning techniques to solve 'big data' problems </li><li>Experience in Programing with R, Python [Pandas] </li><li>Understanding the user of bioinformatics tools including common NGS tools [BWA, samtools, GATK] </li><li>Understanding the user of bioinformatics tools including common OMICs Data [dna, rna, methylation, 16S, metabolomics] </li><li>Experience with Databases (Postgres) and DB Design </li><li>Experinace with ETL procedures </li><li>Familiarity with of Docker; Kubernetes; Snakemake or Nextflow </li><li>Ability to work in a highly collaborative and intellectually challenging environment.
