<p>Description</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>Under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor, the Facilities Maintenance Technician performs a variety of duties in accordance with company policies and procedures. This position is non-supervisory and works part-time during the school year, with the option to work extra hours during school breaks/holidays. Duties include maintaining the facility and projects as needed.</p> <p>Facilities:</p> <ul> <li>Complete routine maintenance tasks as assigned </li><li>Assist Facilities Supervisor with special projects as needed </li><li>Perform and document quality inspections based on Facilities Quality System requirements </li><li>Perform routine and scheduled maintenance tasks to include: grounds care, common areas, trash and recycling, safety inspections, monthly and quarterly inspections, and routine and preventative maintenance as assigned </li><li>Communicate with supervisor when issues occur </li></ul> <p>Safety:</p> <ul> <li>Follow all safety policies </li><li>Maintain Work Practices: </li><li>Maintain work environment to 5S standards </li><li>Punctual: begins work on time and returns from lunch and breaks on time </li><li>All paperwork and database entries filled out completely and accurately </li><li>Promote a positive team atmosphere with co-workers </li></ul> <p>Marginal Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Other projects as assigned </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High school/Post post-secondary education students </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Construction and facilities class focus, and some experience preferred </li><li>Basic knowledge of Hand and Power Tools. </li></ul> <p>Other Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Basic computer skills required </li><li>Ability to lift 35 lbs regularly, 50 lbs occasionally, and 70+ lbs as a team lift or with material handling equipment </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Gain knowledge of facilities, systems, and equipment </li><li>Generate requests for proposals to analyze new products, services, and pricing available to JHTNA </li><li>Learn and incorporate the 5S program </li><li>Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. </li><li>Strong sense of initiative and a sense of urgency, demonstrated by accomplishing tasks, improving current work processes, and assisting others when necessary. </li><li>Unwavering attention to detail and commitment to world-class quality </li><li>Ability to embrace deadlines. </li><li>Able to project a positive and professional demeanor to all internal and external contacts </li></ul> <p>EOE/M/W/Vet/Disability</p> <p>#ZR</p>
