Learn more at www.aeon.org.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>We are seeking a highly motivated and dependable person to perform inside janitorial work and outside groundskeeping for Aeon's 171-unit apartment community in Brooklyn Center, MN, The Crest. The main focus of this position will be to maintain a clean, well-maintained, enjoyable space for our residents. The Building Technician will report directly to the Property Manager.</p> <p>Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <p>The completion of all service requests as assigned by performing a wide variety of general cleaning and light maintenance and repair functions including:</p> <ul> <li>Cleaning interior common areas </li><li>Cleaning vacant apartments </li><li>Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping </li><li>Cleaning windows </li><li>Inside/outside debris removal </li><li>Seasonal duties: light snow removal, salting/sanding </li><li>Plumbing (snaking toilets, other light repairs) </li><li>Electrical (changing light bulbs, outlet covers, etc.) </li><li>Changing furnace filters </li><li>Installing blinds </li><li>Changing smoke detector batteries </li></ul> <p>Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>1+ years of cleaning experience is strongly preferred. </li><li>Ability to engage in interpersonal communication that is culturally responsive, ensuring consideration for differing needs and expectations. </li><li>Must have a commitment to learning and participating in Aeon's diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. </li><li>Must be a resourceful, problem solving, relationship-building, seeker of excellence. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, be adaptable and comfortable in a high energy environment. </li><li>Physical Requirements: </li><li>Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, bend and kneel for extended periods. </li><li>Ability to conduct property tours and inspections including but not limited to walking through hallways, stairwells, leasing offices, common areas, and vacant or occupied apartment homes. This may involve navigating multiple floors and uneven surfaces. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. </li><li>Ability to reach above and below shoulder height. </li><li>Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist and pull. </li><li>Ability to work in varying external weather conditions </li><li>Ability to quickly respond to sights and sounds that may pose a threat to persons or property. </li></ul> <p>Compensation, Hours & Location</p> <p>This position pays $18-$20 per hour depending on experience and skillset. In addition, Building Technicians at Aeon have NO On-Call!</p> <p>This full-time position follows a Monday - Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. Flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the role, including occasional adjustments for resident events, community activities, meetings, or other property-related responsibilities.
