<p>JOB TITLE: Senior Accountant</p> <p>BRAND: Corporate - Shared Services</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Controller or Manager</p> <p>FLSA STATUS: Full-time; Exempt</p> <p>SUMMARY</p> <p>The Senior Accountant supports the month-end close process and financial</p> <p>statement preparation, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This role requires strong technical accounting skills, financial analysis, adherence to internal controls and a dedication to delivering timely and accurate financial reports.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Financial Reporting and Analysis</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares timely and accurate monthly closing entries, reconciliations and analysis for assigned divisions.</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Prepares timely and accurate monthly management reporting package, including divisional P&Ls and business unit reporting. <p></p> </li><li> <p>Provide Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in the timely and accurate preparation of forecast preparation and analysis.</p> </li><li> <p>Integrates budget forecast with Financial Statements.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in the maintainance of the chart of accounts and implementing updates to Financial Statements and Management Reports.</p> </li><li> <p>Coaches and mentors junior staff within assigned areas of responsibility.</p> </li><li> <p>Audit, Internal Controls and Compliance</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with annual external audit and other compliance activities as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains proper documentation and procedures to ensure an effective internal control environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors and ensure timely identification and compliance with evolving GAAP guidance, evaluate the impact to the Company's financial presentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Updates and maintain written accounting policies and procedures to improve clarity and drive consistency.</p> </li><li> <p>Business Initiatives and Special Projects</p> </li><li> <p>Assists the with new business initiatives, with respect to reviewing, updating and monitoring the Company's processes, policies and controls.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in integration of new acquired entities from an accounting perspective.</p> </li><li> <p>Mentors junior staff to aid in professional development.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs ad-hoc analysis and other duties as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Contributes to a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organization's vision, purpose, and values.</p> </li><li> <p>Supports consistent adherence to all department and company policies, procedures, and practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates financial stewardship of resources and applying budget principles within the team, and acting with integrity and accountability in financial decisions.</p> </li><li> <p>Contributes to continuous improvement, efficiency, automation, and simplification of processes and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field +4 years of experience or corresponding work experience. </li><li>Proficient use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel required (advanced Excel preferred). </li><li>Familiarity with Great Plains, Concur, PowerBI, and BI360 a plus. </li><li>Detail oriented. </li><li>Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and/or knowledge in accounting and keep current with developments and trends. Knowledge and ability to use applicable information technology and systems to meet work needs. </li><li>Ability to adapt to a changing environment. </li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrates ability interpret data findings and infer business impact. </li><li>Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. </li><li>Team player and can collaborate with other teams in the organization. </li><li>Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to communicate clearly with all levels of management. </li><li>High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Must be able to maintain the integrity of confidential information. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>CPA License or working towards license. </li><li>Forecasting experience </li><li>Financial Statement consolidation </li><li>Great Plains/ BI360 / Power BI </li><li>Excel: Advanced, (logical functions, lookups, large data sets, power queries, power pivots) </li></ul>
