<p>Summary: Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the Casino's audio, video, control, and lighting systems. This role includes overseeing all AV equipment, managing event-planning logistics, and coordinating with vendors and the internal team to ensure seamless execution of AV services for casino events.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee preventative maintenance for audio, video, control, and lighting systems across the casino </li><li>Research and stay updated on emerging AV technologies and applications. </li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for event planning meetings, walk-throughs, and coordination with the sales team. </li><li>Conduct floor walks to ensure AV systems are functioning as designed and take corrective actions when needed. </li><li>Assist in preparing the AV operational budget for review. </li><li>Support the maintenance and scheduling of the local band and DJ calendar. </li><li>Perform pre-event walkthroughs with specialists to verify AV equipment according to the Banquet Event Order. </li><li>Monitor and adjust AV quality during events as needed. </li><li>Oversee setup and teardown for on-site and off-site events. </li><li>Assist with entertainment setup, performance, and teardown. </li><li>Assist with scheduling of Audio Visual staff. </li><li>Prepare AV rental quotes for the sales team. </li><li>Maintain a list of freelance event technicians for potential event staffing needs. </li><li>Assist with scheduling crew for banquets and other casino events. </li><li>Build and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) catalog for AV systems. </li><li>Lead crew on event days to ensure smooth execution. </li><li>Possess working knowledge of video production and editing. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>At least three years of experience in the audio-visual field. </li><li>Minimum of one year of experience planning events with specific AV needs. </li><li>Proficiency with personal computers and relevant software applications. </li><li>Solid understanding of information technology fundamentals. </li><li>Previous experience in cabling for audio and video systems. </li><li>Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and schedules. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in English with team members, clients, and guests. </li><li>Team-oriented, with the ability to work collaboratively. </li><li>Ability to successfully pass all pre-employment screening processes. </li><li>Willingness to work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends. </li></ul> <p>Physical and Mental Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Sitting for extended periods of time. </li><li>Must be able to move through all areas of the casino as well as lift up to (50) pounds. </li><li>Must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations. </li><li>Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components. </li><li>Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required. </li><li>Ability to work in a noisy and smoke-filled environment </li></ul>
