<p>We are looking for a Design Release Engineer (DRE) with deep expertise in seat complete engineering. This role will be responsible for the design, development, and release of seating systems and components. Additionally, the DRE ensures compliance with performance, cost, and timing objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of all seating components along with other interfacing commodities such as interior cockpit, trim, restraints, body, and electrical.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Component Ownership:</p> <ul> <li>Lead design and release of various seating components as they relate to the final seat assembly and JIT delivery </li><li>Ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, durability, and regulatory requirements </li></ul> <p>Engineering Execution:</p> <ul> <li>Lead the design & development activities according to Stellantis design practices </li><li>Ensure seat system packages correctly and integrates seamlessly within the vehicle </li><li>Manage change control through CN/PLM systems. </li></ul> <p>Supplier Interface:</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with suppliers on design feasibility, resolving engineering issues, manufacturing constraints & quality initiatives </li><li>Support DFMEA, DVP&R and subsequent validation activities </li></ul> <p>Program Delivery:</p> <ul> <li>Track and meet program timing, cost, and quality targets </li><li>Resolve technical issues promptly and escalate risks as needed </li><li>Support launch and plant build events </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 3 years in automotive seating systems design, development & launch </li><li>Strong knowledge of injection molding, tooling, and material properties </li><li>Familiarity with automotive standards and validation processes </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills </li><li>Experience in managing projects, including timelines and budgets </li><li>MUST HAVE excellent communication, collaboration and supplier management abilities </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis </li><li>Knowledge of sustainability initiatives and lightweighting strategies </li><li>Familiar with APQP processes </li><li>Proficiency in Teamcenter/NX and/or PLM/CATIA V5 </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <p>At Stellantis, you'll work on innovative seating solutions that define the future of mobility.
