Works closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that support the overall well-being of youth. Ensures a safe, supportive environment for youth to engage in therapy and skill-building activities.</p> <p>Does this position require Patient Care? Yes</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Provide individual and group counseling services to youth in need of behavioral or emotional support. </li><li>Develop and implement care plans tailored to the specific needs of each youth in collaboration with healthcare providers and family members. </li><li>Conduct assessments to identify behavioral, emotional, and psychological challenges in youth. </li><li>Work with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, psychologists, and medical staff, to ensure comprehensive care. </li><li>Monitor progress and adjust care plans as necessary to meet the evolving needs of the youth. </li><li>Maintain accurate documentation and records of all counseling sessions, assessments, and treatment plans. </li><li>Facilitate skill-building activities and interventions designed to promote emotional resilience, coping strategies, and social development. </li><li>Engage with families and caregivers to provide support, education, and resources related to the youth's care. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree Social Work required or Bachelor's Degree Counseling required or Bachelor's Degree PSYCHOLOGY required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required or Master's Degree Related Field of Study preferred</p> <p>Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?</p> <p>No</p> <p>Licenses and Credentials</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Experience in youth counseling or behavioral health services 2-3 years required and Experience in a hospital or clinical setting 2-3 years preferred</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Strong therapeutic and counseling skills with the ability to build rapport with youth. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families. </li><li>Knowledge of mental health disorders and behavioral intervention strategies for youth. </li><li>Ability to assess and adapt care plans based on progress and individual needs. </li><li>Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and ensuring confidentiality in a clinical setting. </li></ul> <p>Additional Job Details (if applicable)</p> <p>PLEASE NOTE: This role splits its time between the Youth Zone, and the Clay Center</p> <p>CLAY CENTER DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>The Youth Program Counselor is a 20-hour/week remote position at the MGH Clay Center for Young Healthy Minds. This role involves assisting the Clay Center in producing and disseminating public educational resources that support the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of youth, facilitating comprehensive outreach to schools and youth-serving organizations to share these resources, and handle other administrative duties as needed includes ordering supplies, expense reconciliation, and meeting minutes.?
