<p>The primary responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Manager are accounting, budget control, and cash management. Reports to Deputy Director of Budget and Finance.</p> <ul> <li>Ensures timely payment of vendor invoices in accordance with GAAP and County Guidelines </li><li>Reviews expense vouchers, maintains records and control reports </li><li>Supervises most activities in the accounts payable function </li><li>Issue 1099 tax forms at year end </li><li>Operate office business machines, PC skills and related software as required </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products </li><li>Maintain excellent working relationship with external customers </li><li>Ability to organize information and work with others to resolve problems </li><li>Oral and written communication skills to correspond and interact with all levels of management, other contacts and the general public </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li><li>A good knowledge and understanding of the Accounts Payable function </li><li>Experience of processing and payment of invoices for multiple County agencies </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, particularly Accounts Payable personnel. </li><li>Education equivalent to a completion of a Bachelor's degree program with major course work in business administration, accounting or finance. </li><li>One to three years of managing experience preferably in the Accounts Payable Department. </li><li>Or any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience which has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities cited above. </li></ul> <p>"LUZERNE COUNTY IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY & AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER."</p>
