<ul> <li>Read and interpret basic drawings, weld procedure specifications (WPS), and welding symbols </li><li>Ability to help conduct qualifications and write weld procedures </li><li>Basic weld inspection tool usage: fillet gauge, V-WAC gauge, combination square, protractor, caliper, tape measure, flashlight, mirror, magnifying glass, temperature crayon, borescope, dye-penetrant </li><li>Ability to determine weld procedure requirements for Estimating and Sales </li><li>Ability to answer welding-related questions or know where to direct questions </li><li>Fully inspect weldments and sub-weldments </li><li>Document results of inspections, including VT reports and weld maps </li><li>Communicate welding nonconformances to Welding Supervisor, Welding Trainer, Welder Development Coordinator, Lead Weld Inspector </li><li>Maintain material certifications and inspection documentation </li><li>Label nonconforming parts </li><li>Use calibrated measuring equipment where applicable </li><li>Follow all safety procedures </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required </li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills is required </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>GED/High School Diploma/Technical Degree </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>1-3 Years welding experience and/or </li><li>6+ Years welding inspection experience -required </li><li>3 + Years of dimensional inspection experience-required </li></ul> <p>Specialized Experience:</p> <ul> <li>AWS CWI and/or ASNT VT Level III -required </li></ul> <p>Ability to be certified to ASNT VT Level II in-house within 30 days of hire</p> <p>Physical Demands: The physical demands described below are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
