<p>Position currently qualifies for a telework option 1 day a week. Telework options are subject to change at the discretion of management.</p> <p>All veterinary services fall under the jurisdiction of the Veterinary Division. It has a very specific mission that focuses on providing animal disease programs designed to control, diagnose and eradicate diseases in livestock and poultry. Most of these animal disease control programs are cooperative efforts with the United States Department of Agriculture, Animal Plant Health Inspection Service, Veterinary Services and animal industry groups. The Veterinary Division also administers the North Carolina Animal Welfare Act.</p> <p>The Veterinary Division is currently comprised of three sections:</p> <p>(1) Animal Health Programs (AHP)</p> <ul> <li>Poultry </li><li>Livestock </li></ul> <p>(2) Diagnostic Laboratories</p> <p>(3) Animal Welfare Programs</p> <p>This position is located in the Livestock/Farm ID section of the Veterinary Division and provides detailed and comprehensive information relating to disease control and or eradication programs, budget, personnel and property to the Director. Heavy telephone coverage is expected of this position, which includes calls from consumers with questions regarding Farm ID and the State requirements for testing of disease, permits and licenses. This position will monitor and track cooperative agreement funds for the section and enter data into various databases for permits/tags and traceability. This position maintains adequate inventory of supplies and equipment as well as annual inventory and makes purchases using the E-Procurement system. This position processes weekly itineraries, monthly travel logs and cost allocation for bills; composes and mails letters, various reports, as well as accomplishment reports; and is responsible for filing.</p> <p>Click Here to Learn more about State Employee Benefits.</p> <p>The N.C.
