A Painter II performs painting and related tasks on municipal facilities.</p> <p>Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Painting/staining the interior and exterior areas of all city owned buildings, structures, parking lots, light poles etc. to meet modern and past standards. </li><li>Prepare surfaces by taping and applying chemical solutions for degreasing, acid etchings, chromatic coatings or fillers such as putty, glaze and caulking. </li><li>Follow all safety procedures and operate automotive equipment in a safe manner. </li><li>Maintain clear and concise records of work time and materials used. </li><li>Prevent loss of materials caused by improper storage and handling. </li><li>Use of high reach lifts, spray equipment, ladders and safety practices are used daily. </li><li>Successful completion of a pre-employment physical. </li></ul> <p>This is position may be designated as a safety sensitive position and be subject to mandatory drug testing and annual exams.
