<p>08/01/2025</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>OLDHAM COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATION</p> <p>JOB DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL II 1110.04AR</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Kentucky Elementary Teaching and Principal Certificate. </li><li>Three years successful teaching experience. </li><li>Experience as department chairman or other administrative experience desired. </li></ul> <p>REPORTS TO: Principal</p> <p>SUPERVISES: Certified and classified staff designated by the principal.</p> <p>JOB GOAL: To assist the principal in promoting the educational well-being of each student in the school.</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the principal in daily administration of the school. </li><li>Assume responsibility as chief administrator for the school in absence of the principal. </li><li>Provide supervision of school events and extra-curricular activities. </li><li>Assist the principal with the general supervision of Youth Enrichment Program. </li><li>Assist the principal and faculty in developing and implementing the school improvement plan and the state required program reviews. </li><li>Serve as coordinator for various school/district support services as assigned. </li><li>Perform all duties of SBARC designee for the school; unless, the Principal has designated another SBARC representative within the school, and is responsible for being familiar with law and board policy and procedure pertaining to special education students. </li><li>Serve as the Building Assessment Coordinator for state and district level assessments (including MAP, DRA, Brigance and CogAT administration. </li><li>Assist the principal in enforcing the Student Code of Acceptable Behavior and Discipline from Board Policy and school rules for student conduct. </li><li>Meet with parents, faculty and student groups as requested in advancing education and related activities and objectives. </li><li>Assist principal in developing and supervising the implementation of school-wide professional development plan and subsequent activities. </li><li>Serve as a coach to teachers with the improvement of instructional practice. </li><li>Assist principal with performance evaluation responsibilities, including data collection of staff. </li><li>Perform necessary medical-related services for students who have been determined by their physician to need such services, upon written delegation of the responsibilities and proper training by the District Nurse. </li><li>Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as the principal may assign. </li></ul> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:</p> <p>Compensation will be determined by the Superintendent based on 210 contract days and appropriate board-approved salary schedule.</p>
