<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>Responds to ambulance calls and provides advanced patient care. Directs cares and provides guidance at scene. Performs vehicle maintenance and assists in the Emergency Room.</p> <p>What you will Do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Conducts an initial and ongoing assessment to gather data relevant to each patient's needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Identifies patient care needs and follows protocol.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluates outcome of treatment and revises plan as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates relevant patient information.</p> </li><li> <p>Transports sick or injured persons to hospital, or convalescents to destination, avoiding sudden motions detrimental to patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs vehicle maintenance: Checks vehicles and performs maintenance or reports to head mechanic and checks and maintains all equipment within rig and reports discrepancies to manager.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in audits and other clinical areas as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in public relations and educational activities.</p> </li></ul> <p>Hours/Schedule:</p> <p>.001 FTE; PRN/Registry; will include a weekend and holiday rotation.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduate of an Iowa Paramedic Course or National Paramedic Course.</p> </li><li> <p>Certified Iowa Paramedic or RN Exemption</p> </li><li> <p>Valid IA Class C driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).</p> </li><li> <p>BLS provider, ACLS, PALS, Mandatory Reporter. (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (NVCI) within 6 months of hire.)</p> </li><li> <p>Intermediate language, intermediate math, high reasoning ability.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work with diverse group of people; ability to convey a positive image and build positive relationships with others; ability to work under pressure.
