<p>Hiring Department</p> <p>Department of Psychiatry</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Addiction Dynamics Lab (ADL) seeks a Research Specialist I to support research focused on addiction in adolescents and adults.</p> <p>We are seeking a candidate with a background in project coordination, data collection and management, and human subjects research. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and collaborative. Experience in behavioral or clinical research, psychology, or data-driven research environments is preferred.</p> <p>About the Addiction Dynamics Lab</p> <p>The ADL conducts clinical addiction research to advance our understanding of the risk and maintenance factors for alcohol and cannabis use. The lab integrates multiple methods, including an emphasis on daily-life assessment strategies, to collect fine-grained data on the processes surrounding substance use in individuals' natural environments. Data collected in the ADL is used to inform prevention and intervention strategies targeting risky patterns of substance use and related negative consequences.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate participant-facing research activities, including recruitment, screening, scheduling, consent, tracking, and participant reimbursement in accordance with IRB-approved protocols. </li><li>Manage undergraduate research assistants (URAs): facilitate hiring and human subjects training, train URAs on study procedures, and coordinate URA schedules. </li><li>Administer research questionnaires and conduct qualitative interviews with adolescent and adult research participants. </li><li>Manage research study dashboards: create protocols and monitor and maximize participant study compliance. </li><li>Manage research project regulatory procedures: prepare and maintain IRB submissions, IRB amendments, and regulatory binders. </li><li>Perform accurate data entry, management, and routine data quality control checks across multiple data platforms and study databases; submit data to NIH data archive as needed </li><li>Collaborate with investigators and research team members to support day-to-day study operations and ensure adherence to study timelines and milestones. </li><li>Identify professional development training goals, coordinator mentorship needs with PI, and make progress toward these goals </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Shift</p> <p>Monday - Friday</p> <p>8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.</p> <p>Occasional evenings and weekends may be required to accommodate research participants.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred. </li><li>One year of experience as a research assistant preferred. </li><li>This position is a good fit for individuals who wish to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology or related field. </li><li>Human Subjects & Clinical Trial Certification through CITI is desired. </li><li>Additional preferred qualifications include prior experience with real-time data collection (e.g., ecological momentary assessment), qualitative research, and clinical populations. </li></ul> <p>Anticipated Hiring Range</p> <p>Salary Range: $17.51 - $20.00 hourly</p> <p>Grade: GGS - 007</p> <p>University Title: RESEARCH SPECIALIST I</p> <p>Internal applicants can determine their university title by accessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.</p> <p>Application Materials</p> <p>In addition to the Online Application, please provide a Cover Letter and Resume.</p> <p>Benefit Eligibility</p> <p>This position is eligible for University benefits.
