You will make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, their families and your fellow caregivers.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 7:00AM - 3:30PM or 3:00PM - 11:30PM, with weekend requirements.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare medications through selecting, labeling, repacking, non-sterile compounding and sterile compounding. </li><li>Deliver medications to the appropriate storage locations in an accurate and timely manner. </li><li>Maintain accurate and appropriate inventories of medications and supplies and complete inventory audits, such as cycle counts and nursing unit inspections. </li><li>Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, and document regulatory requirements such as temperature logs, scheduled activities and training. </li><li>Use information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned tasks. </li><li>Assist with the training of pharmacy caregivers and students. </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA) required upon hire </li><li>Active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as a Certified Pharmacy Technician OR Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee with agreement of updating registration to a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the OBOP within six months of hire </li><li>Understanding of algebraic calculations necessary for the preparation of extemporaneous compounds </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Six months of hospital experience </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
