<p>Job Title: Computer Networking Lab Assistant</p> <p>Department: Computer Networking</p> <p>Reports To: Computer Networking Faculty</p> <p>Job Classification: Non-Exempt, Part Time</p> <p>Location: Marshalltown Community College, Marshalltown, IA</p> <p>Rate of Pay: $20.00 per hour</p> <p>Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 2:30pm</p> <p>Summary: The purpose of this position is to assist the Computer Networking instructor in developing, implementing, and administering student labs appropriate to the objectives of the program.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the organization and modernization of the design and configuration of the computer networking lab </li><li>Create advanced student labs to match the core curriculum objectives </li><li>Research developing trends in information technology and cybersecurity - make recommendations for inclusion into curriculum </li><li>Supports the overall success of the District by performing other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience: AA, AAS or higher in the Information Technology field, Two years or more of computer networking education or experience</p> <p>Abilities: Have moderate to extensive background in computer related knowledge and hands-on experience</p> <p>Iowa Valley Community College District does not discriminate in its programs, activities, or employment on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, creed, religion, actual or potential family, parental or marital status, or other protected classes.
