<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Custodial and Maintenance/Custodian</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>5/14/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Jeffers Pond Elementary</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>05/28/2025</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>Open Until Filled</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Lead Custodian, Elementary</p> <p>Begins May 28, 2025 or later</p> <p>$56,492-$58,765 per year, plus benefits.</p> <p>Join Our Team and Thrive!</p> <p>We offer a comprehensive benefits package that stands out among school districts:</p> <ul> <li>Health Insurance: A rich health plan that provides extensive coverage for you and your family, ensuring peace of mind. </li><li>Dental Insurance: Full coverage options for routine and preventive care, keeping your smile bright and healthy. </li><li>Life Insurance: Protect yourself and your loved ones with a robust life insurance plan </li><li>an Employee Assistance Program, free to employees and their family members </li><li>optional medical and dependent care flexible spending account </li><li>Long-term disability Insurance: enjoy the security of long-term disability coverage should you ever need it. </li></ul> <p>To learn more about our benefits and eligibility, visit our webpage for new employees.</p> <p>TITLE: LEAD CUSTODIAN - ELEMENTARY</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or general education development certificate (GED), required. </li><li>Valid MN driver's license. </li><li>Technical school certification in trades, preferred; equivalent trades experience required. </li><li>Possesses, or has the ability to obtain within 2 years, a MN Dept of Labor 1st Class Boiler License. </li><li>Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in building and boiler maintenance, building automation systems, and energy management systems. </li><li>Three years of supervisory experience in a public or commercial setting. </li><li>Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force. </li><li>Experience with personal computers and software and the ability to learn district systems. </li><li>Ability to work outside in extreme conditions. </li><li>Demonstrated customer and human relations skills. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Strong organizational skills. </li><li>Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. </li></ul> <p>REPORTS TO: Director of Operational Services and/or Operational Services Supervisor</p> <p>JOB GOALS: To maintain the physical school facility in a condition of operating excellence, operating efficiency, cleanliness, and safety so that full educational use of the facility may be made at all times.</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Performs the essential functions of a custodian. </li><li>Supervises, trains, and inspects the work of the building custodial staff. </li><li>Schedules and monitors the hours worked by building custodial staff. </li><li>Completes annual performance evaluations for custodial staff. </li><li>Submits and completes online work requests in a timely and complete manner. </li><li>Assists in maintenance checks and service on building systems. </li><li>Oversees and confirms that all building systems are operational to maximum efficiency. </li><li>Conducts inspections of all building life safety systems, and repairs or requests outside services as needed. </li><li>Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, recycling, and hazardous waste. </li><li>Complies with health and safety codes, to include Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards to ensure safe and healthy working conditions. </li><li>Assists in coordinating activities with the custodial staff, facility scheduler, principal, outside maintenance, and general building staff. </li><li>Maintains an inventory of work supplies and equipment. </li><li>Conducts snow removal in coordination with the Outside Maintenance staff. </li><li>Present during and after school hours for authorized scheduled activities as needed. </li><li>Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <p>Note -Terms used in this section are defined as follows: Rarely: 1 to 10%; Occasionally: 11 to 33%; Frequently: 34 to 66%; and Continuously: 67 to 100% of the workday.
