<p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work with students on an individual basis in preparation for upcoming juries and recitals. </li><li>Perform accompaniment for choir rehearsals/concerts, vocal and/or instrumental lessons, juries and recitals. </li><li>Collaborate with Music Program for choir, rehearsal, concert, jury/recital, performance Lab (Fridays from 2:40-3:50pm) and touring needs. Choir rehearsals are the following: </li></ul> <p>Mondays and Wednesdays: 4:00-5:50pm</p> <ul> <li>Occasionally assist in making musical arrangements for activities and presentations/performances. (i.e. virtual lessons, recordings). </li><li>Establish and maintain effective working and professional relationships with faculty, staff and students. </li><li>Perform other duties as requested, delegated or assigned. </li></ul> <p>Education and/or Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Advanced piano and sight-reading skills required. This should include open-score and choral score reading as well as reading and performing from a chord chart or lead sheet. </li><li>Bachelor's Degree preferred. </li><li>At least 5 years of experience in music as an accompanist, in an academic setting preferred. </li><li>Organist experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>Technology Skills</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. </li><li>PC Proficient. </li></ul> <p>Human Relations Skills</p> <ul> <li>Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to adjust to changing work environment and to respond to changing institutional needs. </li><li>Excellent customer service skills. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administrators throughout the University. </li><li>Candidates must be willing and able to support and advance the University mission. </li></ul> <p>Please submit a cover letter and resume for this position along with this electronic application.</p> <p>Carroll University makes employment opportunities available to qualified individuals whose skills and experience make them suitable candidates for placement.
