SUMMARY OF JOB The Care Management Assistant will provide secretarial, clerical and other support to the Care Management Team to ensure that the day to day operational functions of the department are met in a timely manner. This position includes collaboration with third party payers as well as post-acute providers. The Care Management Assistant will also be responsible for timely and appropriate documentation, including the Care Management System, Soarian, and Denial Management spreadsheet. RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent. Two years additional training or related experience. Prior authorization experience; knowledge of insurance verification, claims processing, managed care preferred. Knowledge of ICD9/CPT Coding or Medical Terminology preferred.
