<p>Description</p> <p>Title: Admin & Fiscal Support Spec</p> <p>Position Number: 0080249</p> <p>Hiring Unit:C OF TA & HR, ADMINISTRATIVE SERV, ADMINISTRATIVE SERV</p> <p>Location:UH at Manoa</p> <p>Date Posted: 08/21/2025</p> <p>Closing Date: 09/05/2025 11:59 PM HST</p> <p>Band: A</p> <p>Salary:salary schedules and placement information</p> <p>Full Time/Part Time: Full-time</p> <p>Month:11-month</p> <p>Temporary/Permanent:Permanent</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ol> <li> <p>Provide administrative staff support for the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR) Fiscal Office as an assistant fiscal administrator.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for approval and posting of accounts receivables and payables, and addressing issues or discrepancies with requisitioners or appropriate system offices.</p> </li><li> <p>Reconcile accounts regularly and monitor account balances, informing the Fiscal Manager and/or Principal Investigator of potential issues (i.e. Projected deficits, unallowable expenditures, etc.).</p> </li><li> <p>Provide staff support in procurement including review and approval of requisitions, purchase orders, travel requests & completions, departmental checks and p-card transactions in accordance with Federal, State and UH policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide staff support in contracts and grants management to include assisting with the development of project budgets, establishment of accounts, review of allowable expenditures and preparation of financial reports.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in training sessions for faculty and staff on fiscal topics.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with providing administrative support to CTAHR's shared services team as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with providing administrative support to CTAHR's Human Resources Department as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> </li></ol> <ul> <li>Denotes Essential Functions </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ol> <li> <p>Possession of a baccalaureate degree in arts, humanities, sciences, or business administration or a related field and 0 years of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for fiscal and/or personnel administration; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.</p> </li><li> <p>Functional knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in accounting demonstrated by knowledge, understanding and ability to apply concepts, terminology.</p> </li><li> <p>Functional knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and systems associated with accounting.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve the full range problems that may commonly occur in the area of accounting.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation, write reports and procedures, and communicate effectively in a variety of situations.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members and individuals.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to use word processing and spreadsheet applications.</p> </li></ol> <p>Desirable Qualifications</p> <ol> <li> <p>Knowledge of the administrative service policies and procedures of the University.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in training subject matter expertise to others.</p> </li></ol> <p>To Apply:</p> <p>Click on the "Apply" button on the top right corner of the screen to complete an application and attach the required documents by the closing date:</p> <ul> <li>a cover letter indicating how you satisfy the minimum and desirable qualifications, </li><li>current resume, </li><li>official transcripts confirming degree completion (copies acceptable; however official transcripts sent directly from the degree granting institution required upon hire), and </li><li>names and contact information (including email addresses) of at least 3 professional references. </li></ul> <p>Note: If you have not applied for a position before using NeoGov, you will need to create an account</p> <p>Inquiries: Katrina Kruhm; kkruhm@hawaii.edu</p> <p>EEO, Clery Act, ADA</p> <p>The University of Hawai'i is an Equal Opportunity Institution and is committed to a policy of nondiscrimination in employment, including on the basis of veteran and disability status.
