Our lab works across the disciplines of Human-Computer Interaction Psychological Sciences, Information Systems and Design. Therefore, applicants from a variety of backgrounds are welcome. </li><li>The primary criterion for acceptance is research excellence and having relevant interests to the lab's research directions, which can be found here: https://www.mehmetkosa.com/thrusts </li><li>Candidates should have demonstrated that they can publish in well regarded academic venues. Ideal candidates should demonstrate knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. </li></ul> <p>Location MU - Marshall University Salary Range Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field</p> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Work across disciplines of Human-Computer Interaction Psychological Sciences, Information Systems and Design </li><li>This position creates explicit opportunities to build a research portfolio through involvement in every aspect of research-from design, to data collection, to analysis and reporting. The position may also involve working with PhD, MS and undergraduate students. </li><li>Experience in designing and conducting user studies in the fields of Games/VR/HCI and game/VR prototyping (e.g., Unity) is an advantage. </li><li>The evaluation criteria include the degree of fit in terms of experience and interest in the lab's research area, career trajectory, demonstrated record of publications and/or academic writing and strong letters of support. </li><li>Interested applicants should submit the following: (1) CV, (2) Personal Statement, (3) Names of two references (the reference letters will be asked for at a later stage). </li><li>The position is an in-person 12-month appointment with the possibility of renewal based on funding and mutual agreement.
