<p>Day (United States of America)</p> <p>Office Medical Assistant III - Family Practice Center</p> <p>The Certified Medical Assistant will provide basic medical care and health teaching to patients in an outpatient, non-emergency care setting for an outpatient medical practice.</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent required </li><li>Graduate of an approved school or institution for Medical Assistant's </li><li>Current Certification/Registration in Medical Assistance required with current educational updates as required by the State of Florida </li><li>BLS required </li><li>Basic Pharmacological knowledge </li><li>Project a positive attitude </li><li>Demonstrate ethical behavior Practice within the scope of education, training and personal capabilities </li><li>Maintain confidentiality </li><li>Apply principles of infection control </li><li>Apply principles of antiseptic technique </li><li>Take vital signs (body temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, pulse ox) </li><li>Perform first aid and CPR </li><li>Prepare and maintain examination and treatment area </li><li>Interview and take patient history </li><li>Transfer and transport patients with or without assistive devices using proper body mechanics </li><li>Document accurately </li><li>Use appropriate guidelines when releasing records and/or information </li><li>Perform within ethical boundaries </li><li>Maintain the physical office </li><li>Observe safety precautions in office </li><li>Inventory supplies and equipment </li><li>Identify supply resources </li><li>Use EHR system </li><li>Implement current diagnostic/procedural coding systems </li><li>Adhere to current Joint Commission standards </li></ul>
