<p>UPMC Family Hospice is hiring an IP Hospice Aide</p> <p>Provide designated care under the direction of the primary service provider in the hospice inpatient unit (IPU) to achieve identified goals of patient care.</p> <p>Monday-Friday daylight and night hours, 12-hour shifts, rotations for weekends.</p> <p>UPMC perks, and benefits options</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Participate in all required agency meetings. </li><li>Identify, develop and participate in process improvement opportunities within the home health agency that will enhance the quality of services we provide. </li><li>Communicate appropriately with the interdisciplinary IPU care team in a timely manner, reporting any changes in patient's condition to appropriate professional staff. </li><li>Provide safe and direct personal care to patients in the IPU setting under direct supervision of appropriate professional </li><li>Fulfill agency responsibilities by completing all required forms accurately and in a timely manner. </li><li>High School Diploma or GED - Required </li><li>Must have successfully completed a training and competency evaluation program as specified in Home Health and/or Hospice as applicable:? Condition of participation: Home Health aide services. </li><li>One (1) year experience - Preferred </li><li>Certified Nurse Aide -Preferred </li><li>Must maintain annual competency evaluation scores as determined by regulatory requirements. </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:</p> <p>Required: CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire</p> <ul> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) </li><li>Act 33 </li><li>Act 34 </li><li>OAPSA </li></ul> <p>UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran</p>
