<p>Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is looking for someone with technical experience, safety knowledge, and excellent communication skills to join our team as an Equipment Operator Trainer. We are a full-service equipment company specializing in industrial and construction equipment. More information about us can be found below or on our website at www.hugghall.com.</p> <p>ABOUT THE POSITION</p> <p>Equipment Operator Trainer's function as part of the Safety Training team. They are responsible for developing and delivering equipment safety training to both internal staff and to our customers at various locations. There will be a significant amount of travel involved.</p> <p>In this role, you will:</p> <p>Conduct programs to meet a variety of safety training needs including</p> <ul> <li>Conducting equipment certification and re-certification training </li><li>Conducting Smith Systems driver safety training </li><li>Assisting in qualifying current employees in re-cert operator training </li><li>Communicating the basics of safe, productive work habits to new employees through the new employee orientation training program </li></ul> <p>Prepare and deliver hands on training programs for customers, such as</p> <ul> <li>Providing forklift operator and train the trainer instruction </li><li>Providing aerial work platform operator and train the trainer instruction </li><li>Providing other various equipment operator training by brand and manufacturer </li></ul> <p>Maintain knowledge of instructional materials through</p> <ul> <li>Attendance in OEM Train-The-Trainer courses </li><li>Ensuring all training materials are OSHA compliant, up-to-date, and professionally presented </li></ul> <p>COMPENSATION/BENEFITS</p> <ul> <li>Competitive Compensation (range of $65k - $70k per year) </li><li>Insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurances, plus several supplemental benefits) </li><li>Generous PTO Plan </li><li>Paid Holidays </li><li>401k with company match </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Proven equipment safety training experience and knowledge specific to forklifts and other industrial or agricultural equipment </li><li>Clean driving record </li><li>Strong communication skills to effectively teach safety guidelines and best practices to a diverse group of customers. </li><li>A professional attitude and commitment to safety standards. </li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision </li><li>Knowledge of OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations </li><li>Previous experience in safety program management or as a qualified trainer preferred </li><li>High School education or equivalent </li><li>Ability to use various software and operating programs </li></ul> <p>SKILLS THAT WILL SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS MAY INCLUDE:</p> <ul> <li>Strong customer service skills </li><li>Prior training experience </li><li>Experience operating various construction and/or material-handling equipment </li></ul> <p>RELATED EXPERIENCE MAY INCLUDE: Safety Program Management, Lead Technician, Trainer, Training Instructor</p> <p>[This position is deemed a Safety Sensitive job for purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment, the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act and the Louisiana Therapeutic Marijuana Act.]</p> <p>Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions:</p> <p>This position will be working in company and customer operating facilities and outdoors. The employee will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures.</p> <p>This position will require travel to and from company and customer locations up to 60% of the time, hours may vary depending on training needs for company and customer. The normal auto and flying hazards will apply.</p> <p>This position will be frequently working on equipment with potential hazard. Appropriate safety equipment and practices are required.</p> <p>Position requires sitting, standing, walking, twisting, climbing, crawling bending, stooping, kneeling or squatting handling/fingering and outward reaching on an occasional basis.</p> <p>Must be able to wear safety glasses, safety harnesses, and safety shoes.</p> <p>This position requires sitting at a computer desk for extended periods of time with use of a computer keyboard.</p> <p>This position will continuously talk, hear, and read in verbal and written communication.</p> <p>This position will require being able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.</p> <p>ABOUT US:</p> <p>Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is a full-service equipment dealer headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, since 1956.
