They will act as the senior product leader, creating a vision for how customers will engage with HOMAGE.com, and building new features to make that vision come to life. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Brand, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure the eCommerce site serves as the central hub for audience engagement, delivering an exceptional shopping experience while authentically representing our Brand. We aspire to set the standard for digital experiences in the apparel space, balancing storytelling, ease of use, and measurable results.</p> <p>The ideal candidate won't be afraid to push the boundaries of UX, e-commerce best practices, and digital capabilities.</p> <p>This leader will drive conversion rate optimization efforts, identifying high-impact opportunities, and implementing strategies to capture them. They will oversee Web Operations, ensuring flawless execution of product launches, content updates, integrations, and promotions while maintaining compliance with privacy, data security, and accessibility standards.</p> <p>The ideal candidate brings expertise in digital product management, e-commerce strategy, UX and experience design, and leading development resources - both internally and externally. This person will be excited to own the business, design and technical aspects of e-commerce. They will also demonstrate strong analytical acumen, leveraging key digital KPIs (sessions, conversation rate, average order value, retention) to inform strategy and optimize performance.</p> <p>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Lead the long-term vision for HOMAGE's digital customer experience and translate that vision into actionable roadmaps and measurable outcomes </li><li>Own the eCommerce P&L, including revenue, margin, and customer acquisition efficiency. Partner with finance to forecast performance and optimize channel profitability. </li><li>Create and execute UX redesign and product roadmap </li><li>Improve site conversion rate and AOV by prioritizing key opportunities, implementing experiments to demonstrate results, and building winning solutions into the site </li><li>Supervise all 3rd party agency and application relationships </li><li>Oversee the eCommerce team in performing all day-to-day site merchandising and operations </li><li>Collaborate with key stakeholders across Brand, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure the eCommerce site serves as a seamless intersection of audience engagement, delivering both a best-in-class shopping experience and an authentic Brand representation. </li><li>Regularly prepare and present monthly analytics reports, deep diving into key web metrics such as sessions, conversion rate, average order value, and other relevant KPIs to inform strategy and demonstrate performance </li><li>Lead testing and personalization initiatives. Establishing a culture of experimentation, segmentation, and performance-based decision making. </li><li>Partner cross-functionally with the marketing team to drive retention strategies across email, SMS, loyalty, and post-purchase journeys. </li><li>Inspire and mentor a high-performing team, fostering collaboration between cross-functional teams. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Long-term vision for HOMAGE's digital customer experience</p> <ul> <li>Review patterning from world-class sites, as well as break the mold ideas </li><li>Lead discussions with the leadership team to prioritize opportunities and set long-term goals for the eCommerce team </li><li>Envision opportunities to bring digital storytelling to the forefront of our experience, highlight unique products, and facilitate a seamless purchasing experience </li></ul> <p>Create and execute UX redesign & product roadmap</p> <ul> <li>Obsess over the customer journey, mapping out the path customers take from start to finish, and identifying areas that could be made more fluid or intuitive </li><li>Optimize the process customers use to discover products </li><li>Maximize all UX and brand design enhancement opportunities </li><li>Identify technology and apps to be used to improve the web experience and site speed </li><li>Demonstrate deep expertise in the Shopify Plus ecosystem, including custom app development, headless integrations, checkout extensibility, and partner tools (Klaviyo, Okendo, Attentive, Rebuy, Gorgias, Loop). Lead replatforming, theme architecture, and performance optimization within Shopify. </li><li>Collaborate with peers in Marketing & Product to understand upcoming activations, and use that knowledge to identify features to support those activations </li><li>Boil all priorities into annual and quarterly roadmaps </li><li>Involve eCommerce team and agency advisors to align on priorities and timelines </li><li>Develop and run an efficient and impactful development sprint process with agency partners, and internal developers in the future </li></ul> <p>Optimize conversion rate and profitability on the site</p> <ul> <li>Identify and prioritize opportunities that increase conversion rate and/or basket size </li><li>Inform recommendations with website analytics and customer feedback </li><li>Build and execute a roadmap of changes, integrated with broader product roadmap </li><li>Set goals and report progress and performance against goals to the leadership team </li><li>Partner with marketing to enhance customer retention, loyalty, and repeat purchase behavior. </li><li>Implement a culture of testing and personalization, such as leading A/B testing programs, site search optimization, and customer segmentation strategies leveraging analytics, heatmaps, and behavioral data. </li><li>Establish a culture of data-driven experimentation and insight-sharing across eCommerce, Brand, and Marketing functions. </li></ul> <p>Lead the eCommerce team in performing all day-to-day site operations</p> <ul> <li>Provide guidance and feedback to the Web Operations team, who complete product launches and day-to-day web merchandising. </li><li>Thoughtfully expand internal team, including UX and development talent. </li><li>Manage the digital ecosystem and negotiate contracts with vendors & third-party solution </li><li>Coach and complete annual performance reviews for direct reports. </li><li>Ensure digital compliance and governance around accessibility (ADA/WCAG), data privacy (GDPR/CCPA), and platform security. </li><li>Foster collaboration and accountability within the team, ensuring priorities are aligned with broader business objectives and executed on time. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>What are we looking for in a VP of eCommerce at HOMAGE?</p> <ul> <li>10+ years in eCommerce. </li><li>Demonstrated experience guiding UX and engineering resources. </li><li>Deep experience with Shopify platform required. Including custom integrations, and associated partner tools. </li><li>Advanced understanding of digital analytics, including tools like Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, or similar platforms, with the ability to translate insights into action. </li><li>Expertise in quantitative and qualitative website analysis & research. </li><li>Leadership to build teams, hold teams accountable, and meet deadlines. </li><li>Thoughtful and self-reflective, willing to learn. </li><li>Team-player, hard-working, organized, and goal-oriented. </li><li>Excitement for high-growth businesses and building from the ground up. </li></ul> <p>This job description serves as an outline of main accountabilities and responsibilities, however it is not all inclusive. The team member must be willing to perform duties outside their core responsibilities should the needs of HOMAGE require.</p> <p>This is a full time role that can be held from our Columbus office or remotely in the United States. Travel will be required as needed, which could be up to once per month. Employees living in the Columbus area are required to work in-person 2 days per week.
