<p>We're looking for a dynamic Community Relations & Engagement Specialist to play a vital role in strengthening connections with our clients, volunteers, and community partners. In this role, you'll support a wide range of engagement and outreach efforts, from event planning to client leadership development. You'll be at the heart of our community-building work, helping to amplify client voices and foster meaningful relationships across our network.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>Administrative Support</p> <ul> <li> <p>Prepare meeting agendas, take notes, and track action items.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain organized records and manage engagement event calendars.</p> </li></ul> <p>Event & Volunteer Coordination</p> <ul> <li> <p>Help plan and execute community and client events.</p> </li><li> <p>Support logistics, including venues, supplies, RSVPs, and materials.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with volunteer and intern onboarding and scheduling.</p> </li></ul> <p>Client Engagement</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide administrative support to client leadership groups, including the Consumer Relations Committee.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with tracking participation, communications, and recruitment of client leaders.</p> </li><li> <p>Support client residence council programs and prepare clients for advocacy roles.</p> </li></ul> <p>Communications & Outreach</p> <ul> <li> <p>Draft and distribute outreach materials, newsletters, and updates.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain contact lists and update internal communication platforms.</p> </li></ul> <p>Data & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Support documentation and data entry related to community engagement goals. </li></ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education & Experience:</p> </li><li> <p>High school diploma and at least 2 years of community engagement, relations, or event planning experience required.</p> </li><li> <p>Associate's degree in project management, community health administration, or education preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid Maryland driver's license with a clean driving history required.</p> </li><li> <p>Bilingual (Spanish-English) highly preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Skills & Attributes:</p> </li><li> <p>Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently.</p> </li><li> <p>Energetic, adaptive, and empathetic.</p> </li><li> <p>Comfortable working with diverse, underserved communities.</p> </li><li> <p>Experienced in event planning and cross-departmental collaboration.</p> </li></ul> <p>What Makes You Successful</p> <ul> <li> <p>You demonstrate compassion and respect for different perspectives.</p> </li><li> <p>You are courageous and solution-oriented when facing challenges.</p> </li><li> <p>You build trust and engage others in meaningful ways.</p> </li><li> <p>You prioritize balance and set healthy boundaries.</p> </li></ul> <p>Working Environment</p> <p>This is a hybrid role with approximately 75% of the time spent sitting, and occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
