<p>Job Description</p> <p>Livestock Specialist - Montgomery City, MO</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Follow livestock research protocols and SOPs to conduct successful research projects </li><li>Perform routine procedures, such as feeding, weighing, general husbandry and observation, animal health, and sample collection </li><li>Collection of a variety of samples and data </li><li>Maintain accurate and thorough records </li><li>Proactively communicate study and animal care developments to appropriate team members </li><li>Follow and promote facility safety guidelines </li><li>Maintain physical appearance and operation of facilities </li><li>Perform general housekeeping duties, such as organizing, cleaning and power washing of animal rooms </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associates or Bachelor's degree in Biology or Animal Science preferred, but not required. </li><li>3-5 years of livestock production (with emphasis on non-ruminant) or animal nutrition research. </li><li>Good working knowledge of animal husbandry and related health/treatment procedures. </li><li>Collaborative team player </li><li>High degree of attention to detail </li><li>Exhibits integrity and trust </li><li>Solid organizational skills </li><li>Effective time management </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as team working abilities. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. </li><li>Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and the ability to operate farm equipment. </li></ul> <p>Excited about this role but don't think you meet every requirement listed?
